From 300 to 500 hundreds Bailes Funk happen every week in Rio de Janeiro and its satellite cities. Hundreds of Dj's, MC's, technicians, producers & roadies assembling the giant soundsystems ("Equipe de Som") make a living out this spontaneous & informal cultural industry - despite of waves of repression and persecution from the military police (PM).
